Lighting, Shadows for transformation

Just kinda came across this picture. don't you think the lighting is beautiful(of the figure in the forefront)! this could be so effective for the bird transformation. Do you think we should maybe use a white backdrop and just project onto it, that way its more flexible to create different effects. Though could we submerge the audience in darkness with a white back drop??

Leotards: what colour do you think? I was thinking white or natural?.. or do you even think leotard would make a good costume? symy would you be comfortable wearing a leotard? suggestions???

mmm realized most of this stuff is ballet I think, but thats quite good for birds right? I'll try and find some physicalisation for erl king grittier stuff too. maybe you can too Milo?

Fling video. Fling is a sort of physical theatre group. they used to be in Cirque Du Solei, but they wanted to do more choreographed dancey stuff and made this. really beautiful, maybe some elements we could use?

remember how technical this is milo! we wont beable to do half this stuff!

DV8. i really liked this video and ther way they actually use movement to express emotion and themes, as to frantic assemblies use of movement to secure the themes, like in the beautiful burnout they just throw in boxing every now and again to show they're training.

Also watch the bit at 3.08. So awesome! does anyone else think? So brilliantly creepy but amusing! maybe find a simular motif of movement sequence for the erl king?

little red again. capes are good for creating movement, manipulating with movement and for unraping (as in rap-ing not rapeing :) ) in the bird transformation?

the tattiness of his shorts is great for the erl king Green eyes and muddy face!
ravished damsels. the way the scarfs make them look dishevelled
his shorts are worn in a really cool way. quite milo too ;) maybe a bit too modern?
